Kounotsukasa - Aichi
Kounotsukasa is set high in the mountainous regions of Okazaki with an abundance of lush heavy forest and clean fresh air. A fresh water spring located on the grounds of the shuzo produces reputedly the purest water in Japan. This carries through to their nihonshu (sake). The purity of taste appeals to us. Drinking the Kanzui (“water of God”) is like listening to Puccini’s sung by soprano Maria Callas. Even the water on its own is reputed to have healing properties.
